Founded by Andrew Smith, the New Zealand-based Cuba Gallery aims to promote striking images by designers, photographers, and artists from all around the world. The gallery’s offerings run the gamut of prints, photographs, and contemporary graphic art.

From black-and-white photographs to still lifes and landscapes, the images sold on Cuba Gallery are shot from an artful perspective that feels at once experimental and also professional.

Each print is created by using the latest photo technology—a seamless non-dot system—and printed on archival paper, which bring a sense of nostalgia into the artworks. At the same time, all the images have a kind of dreaminess to them from ones with stark shadowy contrasts to others with highly saturated colors.
Emotionally charged, every picture seems to capture a moment in time, whether it’s a rotating ferris wheel, an old radio, or foamy waves washing up onto a shore.
In addition to selling poignant works by artists, Cuba Gallery also provides purchasable educational e-Tutorials and learning materials, such as a PDF file that details the procedure to transform images with Photoshop’s Lightroom program.
